Hello everybody!
This is going to be my first post in this blog for my English 102 class, so don't be very harsh on me.
I think that there are a lot of different things that exemplify my identity and I can categorize them on three main topics: what I was born with, how culture shaped my identity and my personal choices.
The first topic is easy, you all can know it just by seeing my driver's license, birth certificate or my passport. But the other two topics are much more interesting then the first one. I'll give few examples of how culture shaped my identity and my personal choices.
When I was 9 years old I moved to Moscow from far away Siberian town Ulan-Ude and this transfer changed my identity completely. Compare people from my native town and Moscow citizens there are a lot of differences in everything they do such as how they talk, what moral values they have, how they dress and etc. And because of it I changed and I wouldn't say that I changed in a good way but thanks god in the age of 17 I moved to USA but this is already much more different story.
Now let's get talk about my personal choices. My biggest and most important choice in my life that shaped my identity is soccer(but I'd rather call it football because you kick the ball with the foot ENTIRE game). I started to play soccer when I was 6 years old and this is the most popular sport in Russia so may be that's why I chose soccer.
So in the conclusion I think I can put some images of Moscow's Big City Life and of soccer into my collage.
Sincerely,
Your friend, student and colleague Victor.
